The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Theatre Production is an intensive programme designed to immerse students in the dynamic world of contemporary theatre-making. Through a combination of performance, directing, design, and production management, students will refine their craft while grounding their practice in the critical study of theatre history, context, and theory.

The programme also explores the evolving role of theatre in the digital age, preparing students to navigate a rapidly changing creative landscape. Graduates will acquire essential skills in leadership, innovation, self-sustainability, and arts entrepreneurship.

Taught by experienced theatre professionals and scholars with a diverse range of approaches, the programme integrates lectures, practical studio sessions, tutorials, solo and group activities, guided research, and fieldwork. Students will have numerous opportunities to experiment, collaborate, and develop their unique voice through participation in five productions over the course of three years. A 12-week industrial placement further enhances their learning and prepares them for the workforce.

Beyond theatre, the programme equips students with versatile skills that open doors to various creative industries, including film, television, radio, digital media, music, dance, events, marketing, and entertainment sectors such as theme parks, galleries, museums, and more.

Upon successful completion, graduates will earn dual degrees from both Sunway University and Lancaster University, positioning them for success in a wide range of creative careers.
