Wholly-owned by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and University College Dublin (UCD), two of Ireland’s oldest and also most prestigious medical universities, RCSI & UCD Malaysia Campus (RUMC) medical degree programme offers students an experience of their lifetime. The five-year programme is accredited by both the Irish and Malaysian Medical Councils. For the first two and a half years of the programme, you will be based in Ireland and undertake biomedical and early clinical sciences studies in RCSI or UCD. Upon completion of your pre-clinical studies, you will return to Penang, Malaysia for a further two and a half years where you will complete rigorous and extensive clinical training. Successful graduates of the five-year programme are awarded medical degrees from the National University of Ireland, receiving the same qualifications as those who complete a full programme in Ireland. Our medical programme is continuously and rigorously evaluated by professional external examiners from around the world. This ensures that RUMC students receive the highest possible standard of medical training.
