It is among the few public universities vested with autonomous status by the Ministry of Higher Education. Established in 1984, UUM is the sixth Malaysian public university to be erected, and it was solely set up for management education. Its College of Business (COB) has approximately 500 academic staff which makes it the business college with the largest number of academic staff in the country. Moreover, UUM has been ranked highly in SETARA (5 star), MyRA and Top Business Sch00l (TBS). Programmes UUM has three faculties called Academic Colleges: the College of Business, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the College of Law, Government and Internationals Studies.&nbsp;</p>
