Bachelor of Communication (Hons.) is one of the academic programmes offered to undergraduate students under the School of Multimedia Technology and Communication (SMMTC). It has 129 credit hours for students to fulfill during the academic session.

The general academic requirements for admission into undergraduate degree programmes of UUM is as follows:&nbsp;<ul class="line line-icon"><li>Candidates obtained a Matriculation Certificate from Ministry of Education Malaysia (Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia);</li></ul><blockquote>OR</blockquote><ul class="line line-icon"><li>Three (3) principal passes in the STPM examination with at least Grade C in General Paper and Grade C in two other subjects obtained at one sitting;</li></ul><blockquote>OR</blockquote><ul class="line line-icon"><li>Diploma from institutions recognised by the Government of Malaysia and the Senate of the University;</li></ul><blockquote>OR</blockquote><ul class="line line-icon"><li>Pass Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) examination with at least Jayyid;</li></ul><blockquote>OR</blockquote><ul class="line line-icon"><li>At least three (3) principal passes in the General Certificate of Education 'Advanced Level' (GCE) 'A' Level Examination (UK Educational System) obtained at one sitting;</li></ul><blockquote>OR</blockquote><ul class="line line-icon"><li>Any other qualifications that are recognised by the Senate of the University as equivalent to the above;</li></ul><blockquote>AND</blockquote><ul class="line line-icon"><li>Applicants are required to take the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) before applying for our undergraduate programmes.</li></ul>&nbsp;Language Requirements&nbsp;<ul class="line line-icon"><li>English and Bahasa Malaysia are the two primary languages used for instruction in the University, depending on the specific programme of study.</li><li>Applicants wishing to pursue their studies in programmes with English as a medium of instruction must present a score of 550 in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or 5.5 points in the test administered by the International English Language Testing Service (IELTS).</li><li>Applicants who are unable to submit satisfactory results in any of the above tests may take up language proficiency courses at the University to fulfil the admission requirements.</li></ul>&nbsp;Other Requirements&nbsp;<ul class="line line-icon"><li>English and Bahasa Malaysia are the two primary languages used for instruction in the University, depending on the specific programme of study.&nbsp;</li><li>Applicants wishing to pursue their studies in programmes with English as a medium of instruction must present a score of 550 in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or 5.5 points in the test administered by the International English Language Testing Service (IELTS).</li><li>Applicants who are unable to submit satisfactory results in any of the above tests may take up language proficiency courses at the University to fulfil the admission requirements.</li></ul>

<a href="http://www.uum.edu.my/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM)</a> is a public university situated in the town of Sintok, Kedah. It is among the few public universities vested with autonomous status by the Ministry of Higher Education. Established in 1984, UUM is the sixth Malaysian public university to be erected, and it was solely set up for management education. Its College of Business (COB) has approximately 500 academic staff which makes it the business college with the largest number of academic staff in the country. Moreover, UUM has been ranked highly in SETARA (5 star), MyRA and Top Business Sch00l (TBS). Programmes UUM has three faculties called Academic Colleges: the College of Business, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the College of Law, Government and Internationals Studies.&nbsp;

UUM was the first university to implement fiber optics in the campus networking infrastructure to promote technology in education as well as ensuring their students latest information and developments.
