<p>Electrical and electronic engineering is an important field of professional Malaysia where it has been identified as the catalytic activities of public or private sector needs electrical and electronics industry that can contribute to the national economy. With this program, it is hoped that it can accommodate the shortage of professionals in this critical field.</p>

<p><br />The minimum requirements for entry into most undergraduate programmes are as follows:-<br /><br />1. A good pass in the Sijil Tinggi Peperiksaan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of:<br /><br />Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in Pengajian Am; AND<br /><br />Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in two (2) other subjects, OR<br /><br />2. A good pass in Sijil Matrikulasi KPM/Asasi Sains UM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 OR</p><p>3. A recognised Diploma in relevant fields AND<br /><br />3.1 Malaysian University English Test (MUET)<br /><br />3.2 At least a credit for Bahasa Melayu in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)</p>

<p>Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) was officially established in 1992, with its two pioneering faculties of that time, the Faculty of Social Science and the Faculty of Resource Science and Technology. The university grew in the following years, with four more faculties opening and a growing number of staff and students. UNIMAS now has 8 faculties specialising in Applied &amp; Creative Arts, Cognitive Sciences &amp; Human Development, Computer Sciences &amp; Information Technology, Economics &amp; Business, Engineering, Medicine &amp; Health Sciences, Resource Science &amp; Technology as well as Social Sciences. <p class="common-text">Applicants should have passed intermediate or PUC from Mathematics, Physics &amp; Chemistry from any recognized board of Malaysia to get enrolled under the bachelor level of courses in engineering such as, Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.). The eligibility for enrolling under master level programs of engineering is BE/ B.Tech passed from any recognized colleges or universities in Malaysia.</p>

<p class="common-text">The students can start their career in engineering by successfully enrolling themselves under the bachelor level of courses (B.E./B.Tech.) available under different colleges or universities.
