<p>Scientists studying problems in biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics or medicine and designers dealing with problems in engineering, industry, architecture or the arts increasingly depend on technology to assist them in their work. Computational Science is an emerging multi-disciplinary field that brings together computers and science with mathematical modeling, numerical computation and graphical data visualization.</p>

<p><br />The minimum requirements for entry into most undergraduate programmes are as follows:-<br /><br />1. A good pass in the Sijil Tinggi Peperiksaan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of:</p><p>Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in Pengajian Am; AND</p><p>Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in two (2) other subjects, OR<br /><br />2. A good pass in Sijil Matrikulasi KPM/Asasi Sains UM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 OR<br /><br />3. A recognised Diploma in relevant fields AND<br /><br />3.1 Malaysian University English Test (MUET)<br /><br />3.2 At least a credit for Bahasa Melayu in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)</p>

Academic Requirements

<p>Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) was officially established in 1992, with its two pioneering faculties of that time, the Faculty of Social Science and the Faculty of Resource Science and Technology. The university grew in the following years, with four more faculties opening and a growing number of staff and students.
