Computer science is the scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications. Computer science is a fast-moving field that brings together many disciplines, including mathematics, programming, engineering, the natural sciences and linguistics. UKM offers a flexible programme that teaches the fundamentals of computer sciences, providing students with the desired skills to solve problems and create future technology as a computer scientist. The programme is divided into four tracks - Software Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Network, and High Performance Computing, which students can do in their second year. Apart from the 12-week industrial training in the third year, the programme also benefited from hands-on training session conducted by our industry partners such as IBM, CISCO, INFOSys and Prestariang.

The UKM KTM station is located right next to the main campus and provides easy access to Kuala Lumpur. You may reach the university by using the KTM service. UKM is located 30 minutes away from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Students may apply for the UKM vehicle stickers only in their second year. First-year students are encouraged to use public transportation provided within or near the university. UKM&rsquo;s main campus is located about 30km from the centre of KL and is easily accessible via the PLUS highway. Via the highway, exit at the Bangi/UKM toll gate (Exit 212). At the first roundabout, go straight. The minimum eligibility for getting short listed in the courses available under Computer &amp; Information Technology in various institutes of Malaysia are &ndash;under graduation passed with Computer &amp; Mathematics for graduate level programs (Bachelor of Computer Applications) and BCA or any other similar graduate degree in Computer Sciences for getting admitted under the master level courses available in the stream of Computer &amp; Information Technology.
