Religious Studies

<p>The Master of Islamic Studies (MIS) degree is designed to meet the needs of those interested in pursuing their studies at a higher level in this area. It is also aimed at developing specialisations in various areas of Islamic studies, such as Usuluddin (Theology), Shariah (Islamic Law and Jurisprudence), Dakwah (Preaching of Islam), and Islamic History.</p>

<p><strong>Normal Entry</strong></p><ul><li>A recognised Bachelor degree in Islamic Studies/Syariah/Usuluddin or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00; or</li><li>A recognised Bachelor degree in Islamic Studies/Syariah/Usuluddin or its equivalent with CGPA below 2.50, is acceptable subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in a related field.</li></ul><p><strong>APEL Entry</strong></p><ul><li>Malaysian; and</li><li>Candidate must be 30 years old and above in the year of the application being made; and</li><li>Possess Diploma/A-Levels/STPM qualification or equivalent; and</li><li>Have previous working experience/learning relevant to the field applied; and</li><li>Pass APEL Assessment for Master Degree (conducted by OUM)</li></ul>
