<li>To produce academicians who are capable of conducting research in their related fields of specialization.</li>

<div>The Master of Education is especially suited for teachers, school principals, college lecturers and other education personnel who wish to equip themselves with up-to-date knowledge and specialized skills for continuous personal improvement as well as career enhancement in their professions.</div>

<div><strong>Mode A (Coursework and Research)</strong></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>Normal Entry</strong></div><ul><li>Bachelor degree in related field accepted by Senate with a minimum CGPA of 2.75; or</li><li>Bachelor degree in related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 but below 2.75 is acceptable subject to a comprehensive internal assessment; or</li><li>Bachelor degree below CGPA of 2.50 is acceptable subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in a related field.</li></ul><div><strong>OR</strong></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>APEL Entry</strong></div><ul><li>Malaysian; and</li><li>Candidate must be 30 years old and above in the year of the application being made; and</li><li>Possess Diploma/A-Levels/STPM qualification or equivalent; and</li><li>Have previous working experience/learning relevant to the field applied; and</li><li>Pass APEL Assessment for Master Degree (conducted by OUM)</li></ul><p><strong>Mode B (Coursework)</strong></p><p><strong>Normal Entry</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor degree in related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent as accepted by Senate and possess a recognised Diploma in Education or Certificate/Diploma in Teaching; or</li><li>Bachelor Degree in Education with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent as accepted by Senate; or</li><li>Bachelor degree or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, is acceptable subject to a minimum of 2 years working experience in related field; or</li><li>Bachelor degree or its equivalent but with CGPA below 2.50, is acceptable subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in a related field.</li></ul><p><strong>ORAPEL Entry</strong></p><ul><li>Malaysian; and</li><li>Candidate must be 30 years old and above in the year of the application being made; and</li><li>Possess Diploma/A-Levels/STPM qualification or equivalent; and</li><li>Have previous working experience/learning relevant to the field applied; and</li><li>Pass APEL Assessment for Master Degree (conducted by OUM)</li></ul>
