<div>Occupational safety and health (OSH) has become an integral part of business in Malaysia. The Bachelor of Occupational Safety and Health Management (BOSHM) programme offered at OUM is a part-time open and distance learning (ODL) undergraduate degree programme, which is designed for OSH professionals, who are both practising and experienced at either management or technical level.</div>

<div>The program will expand your knowledge and skills in a variety of disciplinary approaches. This programme differs from other programmes, which integrate OSH and management perspective. The programme has strengths in a number of areas including OSH management, OSH legislation, Occupational Health and Hygiene and Occupational Safety. You will also grasp key elements in financial management, industrial psychology, project management and human resource management to provide a complete set of competencies as Safety and Health Professionals. Our program incorporates experiential learning concepts with project-based learning and provides hands-on experience, ensuring students graduate with &lsquo;real-world&rsquo; experience.</div>

<div>BOSHM program is fully accredited by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and recognised by Public Service Department (JPA).</div>

<p><strong>Normal Entry</strong></p><ul><li>MUET Band 3 or TOEFL (550) or IELTS (5.50); AND</li><li>Pass Matriculation/Pra University/STPM or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 2.33 in these 2 subjects:<ul><li>Biology</li><li>Physics/Mathematics</li><li>Chemistry; or</li></ul></li><li>Pass A-Level or equivalent with minimum Grade D in these 2 subjects:<ul><li>Biology</li><li>Physics/Mathematics</li><li>Chemistry; or</li></ul></li><li>Pass Diploma (MQF Level 4) in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75; or</li><li>Pass Diploma (MQF Level 4) in a related field with CGPA below 2.75 with a minimum of 3 years (36 months) working experience in related field; or</li><li>Other recognised equivalent qualifications.</li><li>English competency requirement for international students: Score of TOEFL 550 or IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.</li></ul><p><strong>APEL Entry</strong></p><ul><li>Malaysian; and</li><li>Candidate must be 21 years old and above in the year of the application being made; and</li><li>Have previous working experience/learning relevant to the field applied; and</li><li>Pass APEL Assessment for Bachelor Degree (conducted by OUM).</li></ul>

Generally, a bachelor degree takes three years for completion and it&rsquo;s available in almost any discipline that one wishes to study. Those students who take Mathematics &amp; Science in their PUC or Intermediate can enroll themselves in a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) course. The course can be especially beneficial for students who wish to be a future scientist or interested in pursuing any other scientific career options.
