<p align="justify">This programme is currently the only humanities foundation programme in Malaysia which is approved by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and taught in Mandarin. This one-year foundation programme provides a solid and preferred pathway for many students to enter into undergraduate studies. It consists core subjects of humanities and social sciences to prepare students to pursue related fields of study and cultivate their ability in critical thinking, analysis, reading, writing and communication.</p>
<p align="justify">Students completed this programme may proceed to our Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Chinese Language &amp; Literature, Bachelor Degree (Hons) in Counselling and Psychology or Bachelor in Education.</p>

Academic Requirements

<p style="text-align: justify;">The New Era University College started as New Era College in 1998. The college was the outcome of many years of effort and unwavering support from the Chinese community. On 30 December 2016, New Era was upgraded to university college status by the Ministry of Higher Education. With that NEUC is now ready and able to play an even bigger role as a provider of quality community-orientated tertiary education to serve not only the needs of the community but also that of the whole nation.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This university college currently has nine faculties comprising of the Graduate School; Institute of International Education; Arts &amp; Social Sciences; Computer Science and Information Computing Technology; Art and Design; Communication, Cinematic and Performing Arts; Accountancy, Management and Economics; and Heath, Safety, Secutiry and Environment, Institute of Ageing and Professional Care.&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Within these faculties are ten departments: Chinese Language &amp; Literature, Education, Guidance &amp; Counselling Psychology, Southeast Asian Studies, Business Studies, Finance &amp; Accounting, Information Computing Technology, Art &amp; Design, Drama &amp; Visuals and Media Studies. The faculties offer Diploma as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degrees up to Master&rsquo;s and PhD levels.&nbsp;</p>

A Pre Degree Course or PUC is the first choice of all those candidates who are looking out to enter into a degree course after school education.  The PUC degrees are specially very useful for all those candidates who are opting for a 10 year school and move on to the degree courses after their 2 years of PUC completed from any junior college.</p><h3 class="common-heading">Opportunities for Career Growth after PUC</h3><p class="common-text">Those who successfully apply for the PUC after their 10 years of schooling are ready to apply for several streams of degree courses through the government organized common entrance test. The students can enroll themselves in a variety of programs through a Pre University Course such as –Bahelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Management, if they belong to Commerce stream; Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Social Sciences, if they belong to an Arts stream; Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Pharmacy; If they belong to Science stream, then Bachelor of Science and in case of Mathematics/ Science Stream, it will be Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Agriculture or Medicine respectively.</p><h3 class="common-heading">What to choose?</h3><p class="common-text">Students can get a number of colleges in Malaysia offering a Pre University Degree Course or Pre Degree Courses. However, it becomes necessary for all the prospective students to make a right choice in their search for a suitable college. For instance, FTMS College offers Foundation Course or Pre University Course of one year duration in Business Information Technology. The foundation or Pre University Courses are offered by both government funded institutions as well as private colleges. The students who are planning to give at least one year to their Pre Degree Courses should take up the Foundation Courses. On the other hand, a bridging course will be just a semester for you to complete. Some of the international universities offer direct entry based Foundation Programs that can give a direct entry to the students under the second year of the undergraduate or post graduate programs that they wish to enroll themselves into. </p></div>
