<p>Diploma in Digital Media Design introducing aspiration to 2D and 3D animation, game design, interface design (UI), user experience design (UX) and video production. The students will discover the latest digital trends and practices in contemporary creative media strategies and processes and able to build a broad foundation in digital media skills and concepts, including idea generation, storyboarding, visual narrative, digital video, motion graphics, web and interactive design with innovative and creative thinking and graduate with industry-based design practice experience. This course is the perfect stepping stone for an exciting career in digital media production.</p>

<ol><li>Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least credit in three (3) subjects; OR</li><li>Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): Pass with minimum 3 Grade Bs in any subjects; OR</li><li>Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3/Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) (Note: The Higher Education Provider (HEP)s are to conduct screening and provide necessary guidance specific to the discipline of the programme); OR</li><li>A Certificate [Level 3 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, (MQF)] in relevant field with at least Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00; OR</li><li>A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least Grade C (Grade Point 2.00) in any subject; OR</li><li>A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with at least Grade Maqbul; OR</li><li>Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government; AND</li><li>Pass an interview (online/virtual/conventional) OR submission of student's portfolio, to be determined by the HEP as required.</li></ol><p>English Competency Requirement (International Students):</p><p>Achieve a minimum score of High Band 2 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or equivalent to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Mid B1.</p>

Academic Requirements

<p style="text-align: justify;">The New Era University College started as New Era College in 1998. The college was the outcome of many years of effort and unwavering support from the Chinese community. On 30 December 2016, New Era was upgraded to university college status by the Ministry of Higher Education. With that NEUC is now ready and able to play an even bigger role as a provider of quality community-orientated tertiary education to serve not only the needs of the community but also that of the whole nation.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This university college currently has nine faculties comprising of the Graduate School; Institute of International Education; Arts &amp; Social Sciences; Computer Science and Information Computing Technology; Art and Design; Communication, Cinematic and Performing Arts; Accountancy, Management and Economics; and Heath, Safety, Secutiry and Environment, Institute of Ageing and Professional Care.&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Within these faculties are ten departments: Chinese Language &amp; Literature, Education, Guidance &amp; Counselling Psychology, Southeast Asian Studies, Business Studies, Finance &amp; Accounting, Information Computing Technology, Art &amp; Design, Drama &amp; Visuals and Media Studies. The faculties offer Diploma as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degrees up to Master&rsquo;s and PhD levels.&nbsp;</p>
