<p align="justify">Malaysia first private university approved to offer Bachelor Degree Programme in Counselling. Graduates are eligible to apply for professional licensing from Malaysian Board of Counsellor (LKM).</p>
<p align="justify">Bachelor of Arts (honours) in Counselling is designed as a four years&rsquo; degree programme where students are required to do their counselling internship in the final year. Upon completion of 126 credit hours, students will be awarded the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Counselling.</p>
<p align="justify">The curriculum of this programme is designed according to the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and Malaysian Board of Counsellor&rsquo;s standards and requirements. Therefore, graduates of this programme are eligible to become a registered counsellor.</p>
<p align="justify">This programme covers the major fields in psychology and counselling. Students will be trained in three aspects: theoretical, supervised counselling practicum and internship training. In order to equip students with the professional knowledge and skills, current programme will introduce students with the latest and different perspectives of psychology including counselling theories, counselling skills, interviewing techniques and the development of counselling psychology. Moreover, students will learn to deal with clients with psychological and mental health issues, provide individual/group/family therapies derived from extensively researched interventions, assessment, and research.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The New Era University College started as New Era College in 1998. The college was the outcome of many years of effort and unwavering support from the Chinese community. On 30 December 2016, New Era was upgraded to university college status by the Ministry of Higher Education. With that NEUC is now ready and able to play an even bigger role as a provider of quality community-orientated tertiary education to serve not only the needs of the community but also that of the whole nation.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This university college currently has nine faculties comprising of the Graduate School; Institute of International Education; Arts &amp; Social Sciences; Computer Science and Information Computing Technology; Art and Design; Communication, Cinematic and Performing Arts; Accountancy, Management and Economics; and Heath, Safety, Secutiry and Environment, Institute of Ageing and Professional Care.&nbsp;</p>
