Geomatika University College

Geomatika University College (GUC) began as a Vocational Centre in 2000, carving a niche in Land Surveying. Noting a growing demand for such a specialisation, Geomatika submitted an application for college status and acquired the approval from the Ministry of Education.

Due to significant demand, Geomatika established its Department of Geospatial and Land Development and launched the Centre of GIS (CeGIS) Short Courses Program in Geospatial Technology as well as Certificate in Land Assistantship Surveying.

As part of Malaysian tertiary education ecosystem, GUC has matched its planning with The National Transformational Program (NTP) under the NKEA, in conjunction with the nation’s plan to be a developed nation by 2020. In 2014, GUC was given the status of a full university college by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) (MO).
