<p>The Master of Science in Medical Microbiology programme in AIMST University provides a solid foundation in medical microbiology as a basis for teaching, as well as basic and applied research. It considers all aspects of medical microbiology and incorporates local requirement as stipulated by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency. This programme has been developed to provide postgraduate training in medical microbiology and is intended for students graduating from life science and related disciplines who wish to extend their knowledge of microbiology and / or wish to pursue a career in the medical sciences.</p>

<p data-pm-slice="0 0 []">Master Degree by Research as of Programme Standards Medical and Health Science:</p><ol style="list-style-type: lower-roman;"><li>A bachelor degree or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.75 in related field, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or</li><li>A bachelor degree or equivalent with CGPA between 2.50 and 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or</li><li>A bachelor degree or equivalent in related field with CGPA of less than 2.50 and a minimum of 5 years working experience in the related field</li></ol><p>Master&rsquo;s Degree by Research as of Standards for Master&rsquo;s and Doctoral Degree:</p><ol style="list-style-type: lower-roman;"><li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or</li><li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or</li><li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment.</li><li>Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (iii).</li></ol>

Master in Science (Medical Microbiology)

Foundation is a pre-university course offered to the students prior to their university degree education. The Foundation Course can be taken up by students internally at any local university as well as in partnership with the partnering overseas universities. The Foundation Course is usually of one year duration and includes all the key concepts that a student would be going through in brief during their graduation or bachelor degree program. 
The minimum eligibility for enrolling in a Foundation Program will be SPM from any recognized private or government school in Malaysia.
