If you are good in science, are keen to develop your investigative and analytical skills in a variety of scenarios, and have meticulous attention to details, you will definitely enjoy studying Forensic Science at UCSI University. It is extremely interesting and inspiring, and opens up a wide range of career opportunities. This programme is designed in a way that matches the current career direction of this field, covering topics, concepts and practical applications related to forensic science such as chemistry, biology, health science, psychology, management, entrepreneurship, crime scene investigation, and criminal law. The BSc (Hons) Forensic Science programme will be taught by a range of academics and forensic scientists who are competent and experienced in various aspects of forensic fields including crime scene investigation, forensic chemistry, DNA profiling, forensic pathology, digital forensics, and criminal law. You will also be trained to develop your analytical skills so that you will be able to analyse any piece of evidence encountered. This is complemented by additional emphasis on professional practice and an understanding of the roles of the crime scene investigators and the forensic scientists as expert witnesses in court.
UCSI Foundation in Science
Minimum 2.50 CGPA in Biology / Physics, Chemistry
STPM
Minimum CGPA 2.50, with minimum 2 principal passes in Biology / Physics, Chemistry; and 5 Credits or equivalent at SPM level, 3 of which in the following subjects: Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English.
A-Levels
Minimum CGPA 2.50, with minimum 2 principal passes in Biology / Physics, Chemistry
UEC
Minimum 5 credits inclusive of Biology / Physics, Chemistry
Canadian Pre-U (CPU)
Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects, inclusive of Biology / Physics, Chemistry
National matriculation
Minimum CGPA 2.50
Diploma (Level 4 MQF*)
Minimum CGPA of 2.75 in relevant field from recognized institutions or related Diploma from recognised institution with CGPA below than 2.75 and a minimum of 3 years (36 Months) working experience in the same field.
South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE):
