Chemical engineers are known as the universal engineers of all time and are well-versed in converting raw materials to more practical forms by applying both physical sciences and life sciences. Fusing chemistry, physics, biology, microbiology and biochemistry with mathematics, this branch of engineering is versatile and allows room for specialisation in many areas, such as nanotechnology, re?ning, bio-diesel production and petrochemical production, to name a few.The Chemical Engineering degree programme o?ered at UCSI University is designed to equip students with fundamental engineering and scienti?c knowledge in the ?eld of chemical engineering.
UCSI Foundation in Science: Pass
STPM: 2 principals in Mathematics and Chemistry
A-Level: 2 Ds in Mathematics and Chemistry
UEC: 5 credits (inclusive of Mathematics and Chemistry)
CPU: Average of 60% in 6 subjects (60% scores in Calculus and Chemistry required)
SAM: Average of 65% in 5 subjects (65% scores in Mathematics and Chemistry required)
National Matriculation: CGPA 2.5 (inclusive of Grade C in a Mathematics subject)
International Baccalaureate: Overall score of 26/42 (inclusive of 5 out 7 scores in Mathematics and Chemistry)
Diploma / Advance Diploma / Degree / equivalent: To be assessed by faculty on case-by-case basis. Credit transfers are possible with the submission of academic transcripts and course syllabus
Other Year 12 Equivalent: Overall average of 65% (65% scores in Mathematics and Chemistry required) English
