This is the degree for you – an innovative and forward thinking degree programme, led by research-active sta?, which uniquely brings together the study of Education and English to examine the relationship between the two. Education is essential to the development of an informed society, widening opportunities and giving people choices on how to see the world. The Education modules explore the four pillars of education (Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology and History of Education) and the practice of education in a variety of contexts to create new knowledge and discovery. Through language, English examines the emergence of meanings and its transformation through di?erent cultural and social contexts and values. The English modules consider how readers, writers, speakers, listeners and viewers extract and communicate meanings using the English language in the past, present and future.
SPM / 'O' Levels (Arts / Science Stream): Min. 5 credits including English Language.
STPM / ‘A’ Levels: Min. 2 Principals; 1 Principal
CPU (Commerce / Science stream): Min. 5 credits (including 2 subjects related to Arts stream); Min. 4 credits
SAM/ CPU: SAM – Min. average of 60% in 5 subjects (including 2 subjects related to Arts Stream) ; CPU – Min. average of 60% in 6 subjects (including 2 subjects related to Arts Stream); Average less than 60%
Local Matriculation (Arts / Science based): Min. CGPA 2.5
International Baccalaureate (Arts / Science based): Mi. 26/42 from 6 subjects
Diploma/ Advance Diploma/ Degree/ equivalent: Min. Pass
