The field of psychology is a field of scientific study of human thoughts and behavior. Students who study psychology are always keen to understand theirselves and those around them. They will be more aware of the phenomenon of life and have a better understanding of it, which includes the human memory, the thinking styles, learning, problem solving, emotions and social interaction with one another. This program is offered to contribute to the development of the society to move forward towards the year 2020. At undergraduate level, students will be exposed to basic knowledge in psychology. Graduates will have a firm basic knowledge of psychology and psychological related areas of studies. Students will be expected to demostrate scientific knowledge and skills regarding human behavior, thinking, feeling, perception, reasoning, cognitive and physiological aspects of humans. This field is also emphasized on practical training and professional ethics, particularly in research.
•Passed Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in 2 subjects; and Credits in Mathematics and Science and passed English subject in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) (or equivalent); or •Passed Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) (pangkat jayyid) ', and Credits in Mathematics and Science and passed English subject in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) (or equivalent); or •Passed Matriculation / Foundations from any IPTA / IPTS / institutions that offered programs that allowed students to get at least 2.00; and Credits in Mathematics and Science, and passed English at SPM / UEC; or •Diploma with a CGPA of at least 2.00; and Credits in Mathematics and Science, and passed English at SPM / UEC; or •Diploma (Malaysian Qualifications Framework level 4) in Psychology with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; or •Passed the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum grade of B in 5 subjects; or •Other qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
