Diploma in early childhood education provides the candidates with sound knowledge in the areas of early childhood studies. At the national level, there is a need to produce graduates who are competent in knowledge and skill as well as possess high sense of professionalism and integrity. This programme opens window for opportunities to candidate who see their future in the paths of becoming knowledgeable workers through higher levels of studies and contributing towards acceleration growth leading to high income nation in 2050.
You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Diploma Programme: Pass SPM or its equivalent, with at least three (3) credits in any subjects; OR Pass STPM or its equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C (NGMP 2.0) in any subject; OR Pass STAM with a minimum Grade Maqbul; OR Pass SKM Level 3 in ‘Pengasuhan Awal Kanak-kanak/Prasekolah / Early Childcare for Children/Pre-School’ and pass SPM or its equivalent with at least one (1) credit in any subjects; OR Pass BTEC Level 3 and pass SPM or its equivalent, with at least one (1) credit in any subjects; OR Pass Certificate in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent; OR Any recognized Certificate or its equivalent. ADDITIONAL TERMS Pass TOEFL with a minimum score of 500 points or score 5.0 in IELTS for international students (or its equivalent). Should the candidates do not meet these requirements, the university must offer courses in ‘English Language Proficiency’ in ensuring student’s language proficiency is sufficient for the whole program. This exercise will be organized through a rigorous internal assessment process.
