Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships 2027–2028

To apply for the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships 2027–2028:

1. Visit the official Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships website.
2. Review the requirements for Malaysian applicants and select either the Research Fellowship or PhD Scholarship.
3. Identify a suitable academic supervisor at a recognised Swiss university or research institution and obtain their support for your proposed research.
4. Prepare the required documents, including:

   • Updated academic CV.

   • Motivation letter (maximum two pages).

   • Research proposal with a timeline (maximum five pages).

   • Letter of support and CV from your Swiss academic supervisor.

   • Academic certificates and transcripts.

   • Passport copy.

   • Contact details of two academic referees, who will be invited to submit recommendation letters online.

5. Access the GO ESKAS online application portal.
6. Complete the eligibility check, register an account and submit your scholarship application.

Application deadline for Malaysians: 30 November 2026.

Applications must be submitted online. Applications by email or post are not accepted.

Important: Applying for the PhD Scholarship and applying for admission to a Swiss doctoral programme are separate processes. Applicants should check the admission requirements of their chosen university.
