Overview
Applications is for outstanding students with a First Degree Sponsored by the Public Service Department (JPA) to continue their studies at Master's level in various fields at universities that have been identified by JPA in the form of Variable Loans (PBU).
Criteria
- Malaysian citizens aged no more than 26 years in the year of application.
- The student is a JPA-sponsored student during the First Degree level.
- Students who are eligible to apply are PSD-sponsored students who have completed their First Degree studies in 2023 and 2024 until the application closing date.
- Students have received a conditional/unconditional offer from the university and are studying full-time.
- Students who have started their studies must have at least 9 months of study remaining.
- Are in good health i.e. free from any chronic disease and certified healthy to continue studies.
- Parents are not blacklisted by JPA or is currently in legal action by JPA.
- Not receiving financial aid/sponsorship from any party at the same level of study.
- Students must have completed their studies within the stipulated time and have never made any extension of their current studies at the First Degree level.
- The student while applying and throughout the sponsorship period must not be bound by a service contract whether permanent, contract or part-time in public agencies including statutory bodies, local authorities or any private agency so that the student can fully focus on performing his duties as a student. Obligations of contractual obligations to serve for previously accepted JPA sponsorship must be managed accordingly based on the sponsorship policies in force.
- The Master's Degree program applied for is not a program that is rated as equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree for appointment into the Public Service.
- Students must start their studies before or on 31 December 2024.
- To continue their studies to an advanced/higher level, scholarship-sponsored students need to apply for the suspension of their service contracts while PBU-sponsored students need to apply for a deferral of loan repayment. The contract suspension period/loan repayment deferral that will be considered is according to the original period of study.
