Overview
The Khazanah Watan Scholarship is a prestigious award that offers opportunities for talented and high-achieving Malaysians to pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies at selected leading local universities.
Criteria

Applicant must meet all the below requirements

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Possess strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular, social or voluntary activities
Applicants must have a consistent and outstanding academic achievement record as follows:
 
Foundation Studies
1. Obtained a minimum of 8As (combination of A+ and A) in the recent SPM examination or at least 8As in the recent IGCSE
2. Obtained A or A+ in the following core subjects: Bahasa Melayu, English, History and Mathematics
3. Not exceeding 18 years of age at the enrolment date for the foundation studies
4. Obtained admission to pursue studies or currently in the first semester of a Foundation Programme at the selected universities in Malaysia, as below:

  • Pusat Asasi Sains, Universiti Malaya

  • Pusat PERMATA Pintar Negara, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia

  • International Islamic University Malaysia

  • Universiti Putra Malaysia

  • Multimedia University

  • Universiti Tenaga Nasional

  • International Medical University, KL

  • University of Reading, Malaysia

  • University of Southampton (Malaysia Campus)

  • Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia


 
Undergraduate (Bachelor's Degree)
1. Obtained admission to pursue studies (conditional offer can be considered) or currently in the first year of a Bachelor’s Degree programme at any of the Yayasan Khazanah’s approved list of universities.
2. Obtained a minimum of:
3As for STPM; or
“Jayyid Jidan” for STAM; or
3As for GCE A-Level Programme; or
CGPA 3.50 / 4.00 for Pre-university or Diploma or Foundation or Matriculation Programme; or
38 points for International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme
AND a minimum of 3.500 / 4.00 in semester exam for those who are currently in the first year of a Bachelor’s Degree Programme at any of our approved list of universities.
 
4. Not exceeding 21 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Bachelor’s Degree Programme
 
Master's Degree
1. Obtained admission to pursue studies at renowned selected universities in Malaysia (Conditional offer can be considered)
2. Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University) or where there is a point system, obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Bachelor's Degree
3. Not exceeding 40 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Master's degree
 
Ph.D
1. Obtained admission to pursue studies or currently in the first year of a Doctoral Degree programme at renowned selected universities in Malaysia. (Conditional offer can be considered)
2. Obtained a Master Degree with a distinction or a minimum CGPA 3.50 / 4.00 or 'A' grade average and/or excellent examiners' report if the Master Degree is by research
3. Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University) or where there is a point system, obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Bachelor's Degree
4. Not exceeding 40 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Doctorate programme
Preferred Discipline
Foundation Studies:

  • Obtained a minimum of 8As (combination of A+ and A) in the recent examination

  • Obtained A or A+ in the following core subject: Bahasa Melayu, English, History and Mathematics

  • Not exceeding 18 years of age as at the enrolment date for the foundation studies Obtained admission to pursue studies or currently in the first semester of a Foundation programme at the University of Southampton Malaysia Campus.

  • Obtained at least 8As in the recent IGCSE.


Undergraduate (Bachelor's Degree):

  • Obtained admission to pursue studies or currently in the first year of a Bachelor's Degree programme at renowned selected universities in Malaysia (Conditional offer can be considered)

  • Obtained a minimum of 3As and 1B for STPM or GCW A-Levels or a minimum CGPA 3.50 / 4.00 for Pre-University or Diploma or Foundation or Matriculation Programme.

  • Not Axceeding 21 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Bachelor's Degree programme.

  • Obtained a minimum of 38 points for International Baccalaureate (IB)


Master's Degree:

  • Obtained admission to pursue studies at renowned selected universities in Malaysia (Conditional offer can be considered)

  • Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and Australia University) or where there is a point system, obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Bachelor's Degree.

  • Not exceeding 40 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Master's degree


PH.D:

  • Obtained admission to pursue studies or currently in the first year of a Doctoral Degree programme at renowned selected universities in Malaysia. (COnditional offer can be considered)

  • Obtained a Master Degree with a distinction or a minimum CGPA 3.50 / 4.00 or 'A' grade average and/or excellent examiners' report if the Master Degree is by research

  • Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (UK and AUstralia University) or where there is a point system, obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Bachelor's Degree

  • Not exceesing 40 years of age as at the enrolment date for the Doctorate programme

Full scholarships are offered which include full academic fees, living expenses, accommodation as well as development and training support.
