The KFC Scholarship Program is a lifeline tailored for deserving underprivileged students who have received offers from public universities but face financial barriers hindering their academic journey. 

This scholarship initiative is a testament to KFC's dedication to fostering inclusive education and supporting those who may otherwise struggle to access higher learning opportunities. Specifically designed for qualified underprivileged students with offers from public universities, the program provides vital financial support to cover tuition fees and living expenses, ensuring that financial limitations do not impede their educational pursuits.

Beyond financial assistance, the KFC Scholarship Program nurtures holistic growth by providing structured interventions aimed at fostering personal and professional development among recipients.

Applications for 2024/2025 intakes are now open.

Criteria

Applicant must meet all the below requirements

  • Malaysian B40 students aged 18 and below 21 at enrollment with an unconditional offer letter from a Malaysian public university.
  • SPM qualifications of minimum of 6 As (combination of A and A+) with an A or A+ in the following core subjects: Bahasa Melayu, English and History.
  • STPM or Matriculation qualification with a minimum CGPA of 3.0.
  • STAM with a minimum Jayyid Jiddan with a minimum PNGK 3.0.
Preferred Discipline

At present, the KFC Scholarship is open for all undergraduate degrees at all 20 public universities nationwide.

How to apply for KFC Scholarship Program

1. Application

Applicants are required to their submit application through the KFC Scholarship website. The application will then be screened by the KFC Scholarship team.

Applications for 2024/2025 intakes are now open.

2. Online Assessment

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements will be invited to complete a series of online assessments. These are to measure aptitude and attitude, which entails verbal and numerical reasoning as well as personal and moral reasoning.

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for this stage.
  • Online assessment will take place on a rolling basis.

3. Assessment Center

Upon successful online assessments, the candidate will be invited to the assessment centre for leadership quality assessment – such as emotional intelligence, collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking – The candidate will be observed and evaluated during this process.

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for this stage.
  • Assessments will take place on a rolling basis both online and at the assessment centers.

4. Final Interview

Upon the completion of the assessments, successful candidates will be invited to a one-on-one interview with the scholarship board.

5. Offer Letter

Successful candidates will receive an offer via email.
