JPA Scholarship

Applications are invited to candidates who are currently studying at the First Degree level at Public Universities (UA), Premier Polytechnics and Government Linked Universities (GLU) that have been designated by the Public Service Department (JPA) in the form of Variable Loans (PBU).

The loan agreement is enforced according to four PBU conditions such as

the following:

(i) loans are converted to full scholarships and exempted from refund if the student serves

in the Civil Service after graduation;

(ii) repayment of 25% of the loan amount received if the student works with a Government-related company (GLC) after graduation;

(iii) repayment of 50% of the loan amount received if the student works with a private company in the country after graduation;

(iv) apart from the above conditions, students are required to pay fully repay the loan value.

Study programs that are open for application are based on the list submitted by each study institution involved and have met the conditions set by JPA. The fields applied by students must have been fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) or have been recognized by a Professional Body (if relevant).
