Overview

The Embassy of Japan in Malaysia is offering qualified Malaysians to study in Japan for the 2027 academic year.

The scholarship is offered under four categories: undergraduate, College of Technology (Kosen), specialised training college, and postgraduate programmes.

-Undergraduate/KOSEN/Specialised

-Training: Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old as of April 1, 2027, and have completed the required formal education (including SPM and pre-university qualifications).

-Postgraduate: Applicants must be under 35 years old as of April 1, 2027, and hold at least a bachelor's or master's degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.4.

-Language: A good command of either English or Japanese is required, along with strong results in major subjects.

Successful applicants will receive monthly allowances of approximately 117,000 yen for undergraduate, Kosen, and specialised training college students, and about 143,000 yen for postgraduate scholars.

The scholarship also covers entrance examinations, matriculation and tuition fees, and round-trip airfare.
