The Professional Certificate in Oncology Nursing course prepares graduates for the challenges in the field of Oncology, allowing nurses to work in a variety of settings including acute care hospitals, ambulatory care clinics, radiation therapy facilities and hospices. It is also structured to equip graduates with the knowledge and competence to respond effectively to the needs and demands of ill and terminal patients.
The specialised nurse functions to provide services such as long-term nursing care to patients with cancer, pre-screening prior to chemotherapy administration, management of fatigue, general symptom management and care of bone marrow transplantation patients.
- Diploma in Nursing - Registered with Nursing Board Malaysia. - Possess current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) for nurses. - Minimum of two (2) years clinical working experience and has a three (3) months experience in the related field of study.
