Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field of engineering that integrates mechanics, electronics, computer science and control theory. This programme is designed to expose students to the principles and practice of mechatronics. The syllabus focuses mainly on the delivery of principles and practices that integrates disciplines in mechanical and electronic engineering, as well as computing. Students will also acquire work skills and develop a broad understanding and knowledge of the engineering industry. Compulsory industrial training is incorporated into the syllabus to make the graduates industry-ready upon completion of their diploma programme. Upon completion of the programme, graduates can work as technicians, assistant engineers, research and development assistants, technical representatives and production technicians in the field of manufacturing, process & control industry and robotics industry.
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
Three (3) credits, including Mathematics and any one (1) Science/Technical/Vocational subject and pass in English
Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent
Minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in any one (1) subject and pass in Mathematics, English and any one (1) Science/Technical/Vocational subject at SPM level or equivalent
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
Minimum Grade B in three (3) subjects including Mathematics and any one (1) Science / Technical / Vocational subject and pass in English
