Why Study at QIU
Quest International University Perak (QIU) (DU021(A)) is a private and comprehensive research-led university established in the Malaysian state of Perak under the Higher Educational Institutions Act 555 on June 12 2008. It is owned by Global Integrated Training Associates Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Blair Education Services Sdn Bhd), and the State Government of Perak has equity participation along with the QI Group.
As a private comprehensive university, students are the top priority. To engage the students and instil in them the hunger for knowledge, they believe in blending theory and practice in education. They believe that planting the seeds of curiosity in students from the outset will inspire them to make knowledge-seeking their quest in life.
They ensure that their programmes are industry-relevant using motivational teaching methods which are highly effective. QIU graduates will emerge from the University equipped with the skills that will make them ready for the job market and to continue their knowledge seeking quest.
At QIU, they focus not just on academics but also on giving students an ingrained love for the environment and the community. All QIU graduates will grow to become well-rounded citizens with an excellent education and a caring heart – not just for their fellow man, but for the environment and Earth as well.
There are five Faculties and one Centre at QIU – the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Business and Management, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Centre for Research and Innovation. QIU offers programmes at Foundation, Diploma, Degree and Postgraduate levels.

QIU Hostel is not just a type of accommodation, but also a safe place for its students to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. Besides 24-hour security surveillance, transportation is also provided to shuttle students between the residence and the city campus which is just a 15 minutes ride. There is no need to worry regarding access to the Internet as residents can remain connected via the common Wi-Fi room for their studies, discussions and research purposes.
All rooms and units are furnished with the necessary equipment for students to live comfortably. We also have installed a security check-in point outside each unit to ensure the QIU appointed security personnel will make their rounds every hour to ensure safety.
Monthly charges are RM400 for the single room and RM300 for the shared room.
