COURSE OVERVIEW

Medical science program provides a wide range and a structured curriculum that encompasses elements of medical science and health sciences field.

The Honours degree of Bachelor in Medical Sciences program embraces interdisciplinary teaching-learning approach to expose students to the in-depth understanding of human body, health and diseases and other skills for example, research, forensic medicine, public health medicine and other soft skills.

The knowledge and skills gained by the students provide broad opportunities for their study and career pathways.

The duration of the study for this program is 3 years and at the end of the program student will have internship in various health care setting or relevant industries depending on the interest of the students and their future planning. Student can have internship in local or international.

Candidates with diploma (relevant field) entry they can apply for credit exemption but it subjects to requirements and university approval.

Interview AND

Passed STPM/Matriculation/A-Level/Pre-University/equivalent, with Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in Biology/Physics and Chemistry; AND obtained five (5) Credits in SPM/equivalent, including three (3) from Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and English; OR

Diploma in related fields, with 2.75 CGPA; OR

Diploma in a related field, with below 2.75 CGPA and three (3) years or thirty-six (36) months working experience in the same field;

Any other qualifications recognized as equivalent.

International candidates must achieve IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 550 for writing, or equivalent.

Entry Requirements

1) STPM/Matriculation/Pre-U/Equivalent

Must pass the programme with minimum GPA 2.33 in TWO of the following subjects:-

Biology
Physics
Mathematics

Obtained MUET Band 3 or foreign candidate must obtained IELTS (5.5)/TOEFL (550)

2) A-Level programme or equivalent

Must pass the program with minimum Grade D in TWO of the following subjects:

Biology
Physics/Mathematics
Chemistry

Obtained MUET Band 3 or foreign candidate must obtained IELTS (5.5)/TOEFL (550)

3) Diploma (related field)

Recognized Diploma with minimum CGPA of 2.75 in related field
Recognized Diploma with CGPA less than 2.75 in related field and a minimum of 3 years (36 months) working experience in the related field.

Obtained MUET Band 3 or foreign candidate must obtained IELTS (5.5)/TOEFL (550)
