MAHSA University’s Doctor of Dental Surgery is a comprehensive dental surgery programme that aims to produce graduates with advanced, evidenced-based clinical training who will possess the expertise to provide excellent professional service in dentistry.The modules are an integration of biomedical, clinical and behavioral sciences, with particular emphasis on human anatomy, craniofacial biology, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, human organ systems, associated disease processes, emergency procedures, infection control, oral health diseases, biomaterials, operative dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery, public health and community dentistry besides various other areas of dentistry.At the end of their programme, students will have procured for themselves the ability to carry out various dental tasks, from basic dental procedures such as tooth extraction and repair of oral imperfections, to complex and complicated procedures such as root canal and prosthodontic treatment. They will have the ability to diagnose, treat and prevent dental diseases besides accepting professional responsibility for effective and safe care of patient. The dental graduates will be well prepared to serve the community and fill distinguished positions at the helm of the dental profession in both the public and private sectors including institutions within the country and beyond.

Grades BBB/ABC/ AAC in 3 subjects (Biology & Chemistry & Physics/Mathematics);
Matriculation/ Foundation in Science/Pre-Medical Course
CGPA 3.00 in 3 subjects (Biology & Chemistry & Physics/Mathematics) and provided the course is not less than 1 year in the same accredited institution and the minimum entry qualification is 5 B’s each in Biology & Chemistry & Physics & Mathematics/Additional Mathematics & 1 other subject at school certificate level/ equivalent;
A-Levels
Grades BBB/ ABC/ AAC in 3 subjects (Biology & Chemistry & Physics/Mathematics) Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) B4 each in 5 subjects (Biology & Chemistry & Physics & Mathematics & Add Mathematics)
Diploma in Health Sciences: CGPA 3.5 and course not less than 5 sem or 2 1/2 yrs and coply with minimum entry for SPM (5Bs each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths (or Add Maths) and another subject).
Degree in Medical Sciences, min CGPA 3.3 (5 years programme)
Degree in Medical Sciences, min CGPA 3.5 (4 years programme)
Degree in the Arts or Humanities, min CGPA 3.5 (5 years programme) and 3Cs each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science, Maths or Add Maths at SPM.
Degree in the Arts or Humanities, min CGPA 4.0 (4 years programme) and 3Cs each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, General Science, Maths or Add Maths at SPM.

NCEA/ New Zealad Bursary/ CPU/ CIMP : Average of 80% in any 3 subjects, i.e Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Maths.
Indian Pre-U : Average of 70% in any 3 subjects, i.e Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Maths.
IB : 30 points subjects with a minimum of 2 science subjects or maths at Higher Level (HL) and 1 science subject at Standard Level (SL) and attained a minimum score of 4 each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics (or Maths)
