COURSE OVERVIEW

The aim of this programme is to provide students with the rigorous educational background required to cope with the ever increasing complex problems evident in modern-day construction projects. To do this, students will have to be exposed to advanced and in-depth study regarding common issues with regards to structures, water and air pollution, development of highways and transportation infrastructure, soil and geotechnical engineering, mathematical modelling and overall construction project management.

  1. A recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Engineering Technology or its equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the Senate; or
  2. Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in related field with minimum CGPA 2.50 or equivalent as accepted by the Senate; or
  3. Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in related field with CGPA lower than 2.50 with 5 years working experience may be accepted for admission
NOTE: Candidates with selected Degree in Science or Technology or equivalent (non-Engineering/ Engineering Technology) pre-requisition module in Engineering or Engineering Technology must be offered as preparatory for advancing in this programme.  

 

Students must pass:

  • IELTS minimum Band 5.0; or
  • TOEFL minimum score of 550; or
  • MUET minimum Band 3

(If students do not fulfil the criteria, PPT will offer an English Skill Course to ensure proficiency level is considered sufficient to satisfactorily complete the programme)
