COURSE OVERVIEW

The Diploma in Counseling program at KIAS was first offered in the June 2015/2016 session and offered

for 2 and a half years. Offering this course is as a platform to the students

interested in venturing into the field of counseling and psychology. To be a professional counselor

and have a valid registered license from the Malaysian Board of Counselors (LKM), a student is required

have at least a bachelor’s degree in Counseling or Psychology. Maka,

KIAS has created a platform to help students by offering this course at

diploma level for those who are not qualified to continue their studies at the Degree level.

It is hoped that this initiative will be able to encourage them to further their studies to the degree level to qualify

they are registered counselors recognized by the Malaysian Board of Counselors.
