Pharmacy is the science concerned with therapeutic substances – their discovery, origin and nature, their development into medicines and their use in disease prevention and treatment. Pharmacy also denotes the profession which uses its unique knowledge of medicines in the service of society.A career in pharmacy can be versatile and highly rewarding. Pharmacy graduates can choose to work mainly with people, by using their unique knowledge and skills in patient care. Pharmacists supply medicines, provide medicines, health information and advice, and help to manage long-term illness. Pharmacy graduates can also choose to focus mainly on products – pharmacists hold key responsibilities in the Malaysian pharmaceutical industry and are in constant demand. Skilled graduates are needed in clinical research, in formulation research and development, production, quality assurance, regulatory affairs and marketing.

•Indian Pre-University: A score of not less than 75% in 3 science subjects and an average of not less than 80% in all subjects •Ministry of Education Matriculation: CGPA 3.00 # and minimum B in Chemistry (and attained 5Bs in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics / Additional Mathematics and another technical subject at SPM / O-Level) •International Baccalaureate (IB): 30 points (Chemistry and 1 science subject at the Higher Level (HL) and 1 subject at Standard Level (SL) with a score not less than 3 in each subject) •American High School Diploma with Advanced Placement (AP): Refer to the University
