Application of GIS in Malaysia is increasing especially in environment and geohazard management’s field, urban planning, logging, health application matters and petroleum. Moreover, GIS allows us to view, understand, question, interpret and visualize data in many ways that reveal relationships, patterns and trends in the form of maps, globes, reports and charts.The Master of Science In Geographical Information Science by coursework consist of 12 core courses and 2 electives courses. Besides these taught subjects, students are required to submit a Research Project of 10 credits. To graduate, students must complete a total of 40 credits. Students are assessed through assignments, presentations and final examination.This course will allow student to answer questions and solve problems by looking at the data in a way that is quickly understood and easily shared. GIS technology can be intergrated into any enterprise information system framework.
Bachelor Degrees (Level 6 KKM) in the field of Science, Engineering, Technology with minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent that is approved by Senate; or Any other equivalent requirement that is recognized by the Malaysian Government.
