So you have just completed the biggest exam in your life (for now) and have been looking for a suitable pre-university programme to get a degree as soon as possible. You are probably thinking “what course should I take after SPM?” or "what do I do after SPM?". There are many courses in Malaysia after SPM to take. But with the vast options out there, which one will you choose?
Your parents ask you to take the shortest pre-university programme because they want you to graduate as fast as possible and get a job.
Your school counsellor advised you to choose wisely, perhaps the cheapest one so it doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket. You still have to save money for a Bachelor’s Degree anyway. Perhaps you think splurging on an undergraduate qualification in a prestigious institution is better than spending it on a short pre-university programme.
Your friends have been talking about attending the nearest university to your school for months because well, it’s the nearest! Your seniors went there, your friends are going there too so at least you’ll know some people. You get to wake up 15 minutes before class and still be early. Convenient. You might also want to consider studying overseas and might be thinking on how to study abroad after SPM. But is that all you should be looking for when choosing the right course?

Well, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, allow us to advice you on the most important factors you should be looking for when choosing not only the right programme, but also the right university.
What are your options after SPM/STPM?
If you have been wondering what to study after SPM, you might have gone through several articles explaining the study pathway after SPM or after SPM pathway. Instead of going through that, we will be recommending you a good university to start with after SPM. There are many universities out there in Malaysia to choose from. However, it can be hard to choose one out of the many different universities.
Well, SEGi University is a really good university to choose from. From the amount of courses they have to the scholarships they offer, and even the high quality of education, makes SEGi University a good choice to study after SPM.
Quality
By quality, we mean the standard of the lecturers, syllabus, teaching materials, facilities, services, exposure and activities provided by the institution. SEGi University & Colleges’ campus is not only equipped with all these elements but those with quality.
SEGi University & Colleges Kota Damansara takes pride in their well-trained academicians who are highly specialised in their fields. With their expertise and knowledge, students will be inculcated with a better understanding of the field they choose, giving students the opportunity to advance in their critical thinking skills and receive a comprehensive learning programme throughout their tenure.
SEGi University Kota Damansara’s campus is also equipped with various facilities and services that help accommodate students’ learning experience beyond the four walls. Although their campus may not be the largest in Malaysia, it is fully fitted with Internet access and computers, a study area, a well-stocked library, Think Tank rooms, dental and eyecare clinic, e-learning portals and even possess their own mobile application! Although seemingly insignificant, facilities are important in contributing and supporting students while pursuing their education.
Apart from their teaching skills, they strive to ensure students receive the best possible approach to education, not leaving out the emotional and spiritual element when educating students. Clubs, societies and activities play a huge role in creating a wholesome community and environment. Speakers from various industries are constantly invited to speak about future career prospects. Talks on personal grooming such as skincare, dressing and interview skills, are also organised to gear students for presentations and future interviews with prospective employers.
Activities such as SEGi Idol, SEGi Fear Factor, Charity Carnival, International Cultural Day, Ultimate Prom Night, SEGi Street 5ive and the Information Skills Sessions are held to make campus life more exciting. Exposure to a balanced education such as this would help you excel and launch a great start to university life.
