This course offers a well-balanced blend of theory and practice which prepares you for work as a project manager in the construction Industry. You will gain an industry recognised qualification as this course is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Combined with a suitable BEng accredited undergraduate degree, the course will then satisfy the academic requirements of the UK Engineering Council for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
The entry requirement for this course is a UK Honours degree at 2:2 or above. We look for applicants to have a background in any discipline in order to be eligible for the programme. We may also consider applicants who have completed a Bachelor (Ordinary) degree if they have sufficient relevant work experience within the industry. There may also be an additional essay requirement if they apply with less than an Honours degree, this would be confirmed on submission of the application to the Admissions Team. As this course is accredited by Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the minimum level of qualification to be considered will be at Bachelor (Ordinary) degree level.
English Language Requirements
Students applying to a postgraduate programme are not required to take an English language test such as IELTS, as long as the bachelor degree was taught and examined in English and they hold Malaysian Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) English Language 1119 at Grade C and above (grades 1-6).
