COURSE OVERVIEW

This course combines real estate surveying with valuation, planning and development. It studies how commercial property markets work and draws upon the economics of the real estate sector to gain knowledge of their operation and development. It also examines how urban planning regulates the development of property and value of real estate as investments.

In the first two years of the course you'll study the technical and legal aspects of property, property markets, valuation, investment and development of land and buildings. In year three you'll be provided with an in-depth knowledge of real estate appraisal: investment and development, as well as specialist and statutory valuation. You'll also examine how urban planning regulates the development of property and value of real estate. In your final year you'll focus on the sustainability of property development and valuation.

Entry Requirements

Students will be eligible to apply if they have gained the required scores in the International Baccalaureate, GCE A-Levels, Foundation, Diploma and Polytechnic Diploma for entry to year one and two.

English Language Requirements

Students applying to an undergraduate programme are required to have achieved Malaysian Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) English Language 1119 Grade C or above (grades 1-6), even if previous studies are fully taught and examined in English.
