This course prepares students for undergraduate study in Engineering & Science and Information Technology. In addition to several units that are common to all foundation courses, students study units in Engineering Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and Programming in C++.The courses are aimed at developing academic diligence, critical analysis, and a raft of generic skills in students. They provide a solid foundation for the students to adapt to university education more confidently, both in terms of level and style of education.There are two (2) streams for the Foundation of Engineering and Science programme:
SPM
*Engineering Stream – 5 Credits including English and Mathematics and passes in Add. Mathematics and one of the Science subjects (Physics or Chemistry or Biology)*Science Stream – 5 Credits including English and Mathematics and pass in one of the Science subjectsProgression to Undergraduate Program’s Requirement:B. Tech. (Computer Systems & Networking) – 5 credits including English and Mathematics and pass in one of the Science subjects.B. Sc. (Computing) – 5 Credits including English, Mathematics and Additional Mathematics.B. Sc. (Health, Safety and Environment) – 5 Credits including English and General Science/Biology.B. Sc. (Psychological Science) – 5 Credits including English and General Science/Biology.
5C including English or 5C and English competency.Progression to Undergraduate Program’s Requirement:B.
