COURSE OVERVIEW

Asia Metropolitan University's Bachelor of Accounting programme aims to equip students to develop skills that are fundamental to evaluating, analyzing, and communicating the financial position of any organization. The programme prepares students in the core areas of financial accounting, management accounting, finance, tax, auditing, and economics. This 4-year degree programme focuses on practical knowledge while combining studies in accounting with those of business law, finance, and management. You will graduate with the key competencies to perform accounting operations as part of any company.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Detailed entry requirements

STPM

A pass in STPM or its equivalent, with a minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any two subjects, and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level; OR

Language Requirement

For International Students, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 OR International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.50 OR its equivalent.

Matriculation / Foundation

Matriculation/Foundation qualification or it's equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level; OR

Diploma

A diploma in accounting or related field, or it's equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level; OR

STAM

A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agarna Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid, (good) and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level

Note:

Candidates with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process, OR
Any other Diploma in Business and Management (Level 4 MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process and a credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.
Candidates without a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted if the Diploma programme contains subjects in mathematics that are equivalent to Additional Mathematics at SPM level.
Candidate with a credit in the computing-related subject at SPM or STPM level or its equivalent may be given preferential consideration.
