UCSI University National English Language Competition Now Open!

They say that the youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow, and that is exactly who UCSI University is looking at for their English Language Competition. This is your chance to voice your visions for our country with bright new ideas. For those who have a passion for writing and articulating their ideas and ideals, this essay writing competition is definitely one you should enter.

The competition is open to both local and international high school students residing in Malaysia. UCSI University’s aim is to encourage students to be interested in social and community issues and to express their thoughts through the art of essay writing using the English Language.

This year in light of the 64th Merdeka Day along with UCSI University’s support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, they are encouraging students to observe, reflect and write on the role of youth in nation building.

Criteria

  1. Open to all students between 16 & 20 years old residing in Malaysia.
  2. The length of the essay must be between 1,000 and 1,500 words.
  3. The submission must be an original piece of work and well-written in English.
  4. The submission must be from a single author.
  5. The essay must be inspiring and have a persuasive call to action on issues discussed.
  6. The essay must be typed in Times New Roman; 12 point, justified, 1.5 between lines, 2.0 between paragraphs.
  7. All entries must be submitted through the online portal.

The deadline for entries is on August 31, 2021 and the announcement of winners as well as the prize giving ceremony will take place on September 21, 2021. So, what are you waiting for?
