Detailed entry requirements

• A pass in General Secondary School examination (compulsory: taken upon the completion of 12 years primary and secondary schools education); OR
• Two principal passes in the STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia / Malaysia High School Certificate); OR
• Two principal passes in the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE) ‘A’ Level Examination (UK Education System); OR
• A pass in MEDIU’s Foundation programme with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
• A pass in any Diploma recognized by the Government of Malaysia and/or the Senate of the University; OR
• Five (5) Passes in SPM/SPMV or in the General Certificate of Education ‘Ordinary Level’ (GCE) ‘O’ Level Examination (UK Education System) or their equivalent AND at least 3 years working experience;
• Any other certificate or qualification that is recognized by the University’s Academic Board as equivalent to one of the above.

• Where the medium of instruction of a course is English and if applicant’s first language is other than English, applicants are required to obtain a score of either:
•  60 TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or
•  6.0 band IELTS (International English Language Testing Service)
•  4.0 band MUET (Malaysian University English Test)
• Applicants, who do not have either of the above qualifications, are required to pass MEDIU’s English Placement Test (MEPT) with a 6.0 points.
