The Diploma in Opticianry aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the ocular anatomy and human physiology as well as insights on materials and designs used in ophthalmic lenses and spectacle frames.
Students will experience an immersive learning environment which involves theoretical sessions, practical activities and procedures that are conducted in labs and simulation wards. Most importantly, students will be placed into clinical attachments with optical and optometry centres, thus enabling them to gain crucial real life practical experiences, while increasing the effectiveness of the communication skills.
Embracing this complete approach of theory and practical knowledge, our well rounded graduates are armed with the essential skills that would enable them to practice professionally and ethically in a variety of clinical settings, across different specialities of opticianry.
