As the afterschool.my Q&A page on both the English and BM versions has been flooded with questions due to UPU results being announced, many keep asking similar questions. One common one, would be, “What are my options if I was accepted in this Diploma Programme?” Some were even torn between Matriculation, a Public University offer, and STPM. While we do not have any issues answering these questions, there is a much simpler way that all students can utilise. It’s not a secret, nor is it difficult to find. It’s actually the ePanduan on the official UPU website. Today, we will guide you on how to answer these questions. So are you ready?
Want to see that page we're talking about? This is the one
UPU has a list of every course you can apply for based on the specific pre-university course you took, down to the stream or ‘aliran’, from STPM (Sains or Sastera), Matrikulasi (Science, Accountancy, Law, Engineering, Technical) & Diploma (Sains or Sastera). So how do you get here? Well, it’s really quite simple.
All you have to do is click on this link below:
https://online.mohe.gov.my/upu/epanduan/kodprogram/vMenuKod.php?pagefunc=kodByBidang&jenprog=stpm
Did you know you can check all the courses offered by a university based on the field of study, and then narrow that search down even more to the ones you can apply for based on what pre-u course you took? Well, it is possible, just look at the picture below:
Once you are on the main page, go to 'Search According To' or ‘Carian Berdasarkan’ and choose the field of study or ‘bidang’.
Once you are there, select the field of study you are interested in under ‘bidang’ then choose your Pre-U category that you want to pursue in.
Once you are done, select the stream of your choice and once you’re done, a list of courses and their codes will appear below.
As you can see from the screenshots above, you can filter out the search results, so you will know EXACTLY what courses you can apply for and the public universities that offer them.
Here is the link below that will lead you directly to the page:

Perhaps you have no clue what to do, and just want to view all the courses that are on offer to check if something grabs your attention. This, too, is easily done with the same programme, as seen in the picture below:
The list goes on and on...
As you can see, there are way too many pages to show you, with over 900 courses for STPM leavers alone. As mentioned, you can use this and filter it to fit into any pre-university programme.
The link for this is right below:

Say you’ve chosen a pre-university course and a degree you would want to continue with at a specific university. Now you need to find out what their specific requirements are. You go to their university page, but it’s not there. Well, it’s already in the ePanduan UPU portal, all the requirements of all the programmes. Now you should already know this. But sometimes, when students are under pressure, they get tunnel vision and miss things that are right in front of them.
You will have to fill up the blanks, which university you want to attend, with what qualification, which stream and which field of study/faculty.
So all you have to do now is scroll down and search until eventually, you find this.
Now all you have to do is scroll down as it displays all the engineering courses they offer.
