COURSE OVERVIEW

This program is designed to produce professional graduates in the field of agriculture in general and the field of livestock management in particular.

This Diploma in Livestock Production Program has a curriculum that covers both theoretical and practical aspects. The curriculum of the program includes all elements such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, livestock production basics, food processing technology, livestock farm structure, livestock anatomy and physiology, genetics, livestock breeding, livestock farm management and livestock waste management. Students are also given exposure during 14 weeks of industrial training at external agencies related to livestock. This can provide exposure to students to meet the needs of the market in related fields.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Detailed entry requirements

 

  1. Passed SPM / SPMV or equivalent - 3 credits - BM, one Science subject and one other subject and  passed BI and Mathematics; OR
  2. Pass O-Level with at least Grade C in three (3) subjects; OR
  3. Pass SKM Level 3 in related fields AND pass SPM with at least credits in one (1) subject; AND strengthening programs (if necessary); OR
  4. Passed MQF Level 3 equivalent Community College Certificate in related fields; AND pass SPM with at least credit in one (1) subject; AND strengthening programs (if necessary); OR
  5. Passed Certificate (Level 3 MQF) with CGPA 2.0 in related field; OR
  6. Passed STPM or equivalent with at least grade C (NGMP 2.0) in one (1) subject; OR
  7. Passed STAM rank Maqbul; OR
  8. Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia
