COURSE OVERVIEW

This program is developed with the main goal to critically and analytically evaluate all theories and principles of Islamic finance and its application in the latest developments in the world of Islamic finance.

The curriculum is designed with emphasis on current developments in the Islamic financial system and an understanding of the importance and relationship with the conventional financial system, laws and regulations related to social, political and economic issues in Islamic financial management. It also covers studies on Islamic finance and banking in all aspects including takaful, fund management and issues related to the Islamic accounting system.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Detailed entry requirements

SPM or equivalent - 3 credits - including Bahasa Melayu and 2 other subjects and a pass in Mathematics; OR
Pass O-Level with at least Grade C in three (3) subjects and pass Mathematics; OR
Passed a Level 3 equivalent Community College Certificate in a related field; AND pass SPM with at least credit in one (1) subject and Pass Mathematics; AND strengthening programs (if necessary); OR
Passed Certificate (Level 3 MQF) with CGPA 2.0 in related field; OR
Passed STPM or equivalent with at least grade C (NGMP 2.0) in one (1) subject; OR
Passed STAM (Maqbul rank); OR
Other qualifications are recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia or the UCAM Senate
