The programme aims to achieve a balance between theoretical approaches and practical implementations in communications and networking with the objective to support the communication needs of industries and commercial activities. This programme prepares graduates to: be technically competent in design, development and implementation of communications and network systems;have strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve problems by applying knowledge, principles and skills in communications and networking;possess solid Internet background and computing knowledge for analysing, modeling, and evaluating networking solutions;understand the needs of industries and commercial activities for communications and networking, and develop network systems to support these needs.
Entry Requirements
STPM with 2 principal passes Or A-level with 2 passes or South Australian matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and grade B in 2 relevant subjects Or Canadian Pre-University with an average of 70% in 6 relevant subjects Or Unified examination certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 relevant subjects
Foundation in Arts, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Or Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Or Foundation from other Institutions Of Higher Learning Or Matriculation certificate, Ministry of Education Or Diploma,Tunku Abdul Rahman Universiti college (TAR UC) Or Diploma from other Institutions Of Higher Learning Or Other equivalent qualifications AND A credit in SPM/O-level Mathematics/ equivalent/Grade B in 1 Mathematics subject for UEC applicants
