The programme aims to prepare students with both sound theoretical understanding and empirical ability with respect to economic and finance issue. Throughout, this programmes aims to cultivate the critical thinking and analytical skills of the students in analyzing economic issues and phenomenon. The programme provides the opportunities for Undergraduate to "do economics".The learning outcomes of the programme emphasize hugely on the ability of the Undergraduates to comprehend the fundamentals concepts of economics, and to scientifically apply the theories of economics and finance in understanding real-world economic issues. To attain this goal, the curriculum is thus designed to motivate active participation of students in teaching-learning interaction, and in independent academic writing.
Entry Requirements
STPM with 2 principal passes Or A-level with 2 passes Or South Australian matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and grade B in two subjects Or Canadian Pre-University with an average of 70% in 6 subjects Or Unified examination certificate (UEC) with Grade B5 in 5 subjects
Foundation in Arts, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Or Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Or Foundation from other Institutions Of Higher Learning Or Matriculation certificate, Ministry of Education
Diploma,Tunku Abdul Rahman Universiti college (TAR UC) Or Diploma from other Institutions Of Higher Learning
Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian government AND A credit in 1 SPM mathematics subject/ equivalent
