The programme aims to prepare graduates who are technically competent in design, development and implementation of computing systems. Students will be equipped with suitable mathematical background and solid computing knowledge for analyzing, modeling and evaluating computing solutions. Student will be trained to possess strong analytical and critical thinking to solve problems by applying knowledge, principles and skills in Computer Science.The programme offers 3 areas of specialization in Computer Science for students:Artificial Intelligence OptionSoftware Engineering OptionMobile Application Development OptionThe Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) is accredited (Ref: A7930) by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and recognized by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) of Malaysia since 6 August 2010.
Entry Requirements
STPM with minimum 2 principal passes Or A-level minimum 2 passes or South Australian matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and grade B in 2 subjects including 1 Mathematics subject Or Canadian Pre-University with an average of 70% in 6 relevant subjects including 1 Mathematics subject Or Unified examination certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 subjects including 1 Mathematics subject
Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Or Matriculation certificate, Ministry of Education Or Diploma,Tunku Abdul Rahman Universiti college (TAR UC) Or Diploma from other Institutions Of Higher Learning Or Foundation from other Institutions Of Higher Learning or Other equivalent qualifications AND A credit in SPM/O-level Additional Mathematics/ equivalent or principal pass in Mathematics for STPM applicants or Advanced pass in Mathematics for A-level applicants or Grade B in 1 Mathematics subject for UEC applicants.
