UTAR Bachelor of Communication (Hons) Public Relations address the needs of the communication industry for public relations professional who have technical competence as well as an appreciation of the role of Public Relations in Malaysia within global environment. Students will develop their communication skills in a range of contexts and enhance their creative abilities, analytical skills and management capabilities.The programme also emphasises in-depth understanding of communication theory. In terms of application, students will produce media kits, news releases and audio-visual presentations. They will also learn to organise press conference, events and exhibitions.Students are also introduced to fundamentals of advertising such as copy writing and media planning. They develop an understanding of the advertising profession and industry. Advertising is a related field in communication in which graduates in public relations may seek employment.
Entry Requirements
STPM with minimum 2 principal passes Or A-level with minimum 2 principal passes Or South Australian matriculation (SAM) with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 subjects Or Canadian Pre-University with an average of 70% in 6 subjects Or
Foundation in Arts, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Or Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Or Foundation from other Institutions Of Higher Learning Or Matriculation certificate, Ministry of Education or
Diploma,Tunku Abdul Rahman Universiti college (TAR UC) Or Diploma from other Institutions Of Higher Learning AND Credits in 1 mathematics subject, 1 science subject and English language at SPM level/ equivalent or Diploma in Psychology from other Institutions Of Higher Learning Or Other equivalent qualifications
